Observation notes: At my home in Whitesboro NY. I have never seen this species here before. Hot, sunny summer day. I had actually thought about tossing this pot because the blooms were so thin and dry. The butterfly spent about a half hour repeatedly feeding. Even when I went outside to photograph, it stayed after the briefest of fluttering.
