Observation notes: This specimen was active in a domestic lilac bush that was in bloom at our house. It was a partly sunny morning, about 65 F. The surrounding area is climax white spruce forest.

Coordinator notes: This is actually Carterocephalus mandan, visually and genetically distinct from the Eurasian palaemon. But this website uses lumper taxonomy so the record is filed under the taxonomic concept of C. palaemon
