Coordinator notes: I am reasonably confident this is a female of Speyeria atlantis (ssp. sorocko for "Southern Rocky Mountains"). No locality information is given but I am going to guess that it was around Telluride in the San Juan Mts. where I have also found this this fritillary. The often co-inhabitor also occurs with it Speryeria hesperis (Northwestern Fritillary) but the markings on this example are a little bit more delicate and the color more typical to S. altantis than that fritillary.
