Observation notes: This pupa was attached to a small piece of burlap hanging on the side of a planter in a garden of a good friend who has many trees, shrubs, plants/flowers she has grown over the past 7-8 years to attract birds, butterflies, moths, bees, etc. We could not determine if it is a butterfly or moth so if anyone on this site has ANY idea what type of butterfly or moth (or if it is indeed NOT one of these what species of insect could it possibly be)?
