Observation notes: It was a beautiful Sunny morning and there was lots of damsel and dragon flies and butterflys about. I waited a few minutes hoping the Butterfly would land. Finally it did but not on a flower or patch of grass but on my car hood! In the one picture it looks like the insect is sitting in a stream of water but in the other image you can see more of the contour of my cars hood which was relecting the sky and the surrounding vegetation which is a lush Summer green right now.I have been unable to identify this specimen with the book I have and some research on the web.
