Observation notes: Found on a brick at the base of a tree surrounded by grasses (tree and grass species unknown)at the Darrin Fresh Water Institute in Bolton Landing, NY, USA, approximately 350' upland from the west shore of Lake George. Clear skies, air temp approximately 70F, no wind, caterpillar never moved for more then 5 minutes.
