Observation notes: Cocoon was found in November 2012, by base of Oak tree in our yard and brought indoors, where it remained until May 2, 2013, when moth emerged.

Coordinator notes: Though it is certainly not outside the realm of possibility to see polyphemus in southern NY in the first week of May, I expect that bringing the cocoon indoors hastened the emergence somewhat unnaturally.
