Observation notes: Unfortunately, these photographs may not be very helpful at all. This was an very active, very dark, -- black in full sunlight on both sides of the wings -- butterfly roughly the size of a hairstreak. Thought Great Purple Hearstreak, but had no sense of colorful abdomen, or blue above. Also, there seems to be some on the lightness on edges of the wings, as well as some lighter spots.
