Observation notes: This moth has been on our back door for the last three days. I find it in a different spot on the door each morning, and it moved around a little bit today when I closed the door too hard. The weather lately has been hot and muggy. I don't see any other reports of sightings of this moth close to my area, which leads me to believe that it's somewhat uncommon. Perhaps my sighting is a result of our unusually mild winter this year (2011/12).
