Observation notes: In my bathroom, on cabinet, at night with light on. Wings were tucked in when I approached but as soon as I got close it lifted the wings and fluttered the silver spots at me without flying away. It seemed to be a defensive posture and movement. Did not stop fluttering while I took these close-up shots, for say, 30 seconds.
