Coordinator notes: This is subspecies iroides. Be aware Moss Elfins (Callophrys mossii) also live in your county but I don't recommend trying to catch them. They live on treacherous canyon walls in the Devil's Gap area between Atascadero and Morro Bay. Those are better reared from mature larvae.
