Coordinator notes: This has been a problem since I first saw it. The hindwing is much closer in coloration to proxima, but the spots are problematic as they are only associated this large with nevadensis. Since nevadensis inludes several formerly described forms, which were subspecies at one time, G. n. superba [8180b], G. n. geneura [8180] and G. n. gibsoni [8182}, I finally decide this is nevadensis.
