  Sighting 549885

Observation date: August 02, 2011
Submitted by: Ruth Dixon
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: These moths seem to prefer the yellow flowers over the purple ones now in bloom. They also seem sound sensitive rather than motion sensitive. I could get very close with my camera without disturbing them but when the camera clicked, they would fly off. The sky was very cloudy... it ended up raining. They were on a steep, flower and tree covered hillside with aq creek running below.
