Coordinator notes: This could also be Polygonia satyrus. The underside is a little sun struck to see clearly. The individual has concise spots toward the edge of the upper hindwings which is more characteristic to P. satyrus. P. gracilis usually has a rather mottled area on the lower hindwings and the submarginal spots tend to blend with it. I chose the more common species between the two.
