Observation notes: Went out the garage man door behind my husband and dog. Felt a fluttering pass my face. He landed to the right of me about shoulder level on the house downspout. I could see his face and features very well. He did seem slightly wobbly and back tail was slightly curled...Maybe still hardening? I ran inside to get my phone to take a picture because I have never seen such a large moth. When I came back out he had climbed pretty high up the gutter. Pictures aren't great, but I am positive that it was a Luna Moth. Beautiful! Please forgive any typos, as I am typing this on my phone.
