Observation notes: 2-3 of these were hovering around my empty hummer nectar quart jar. They lit on the glass, like basking in the sun and flitted around until about 1 or 2 o'clock. I could only detect black color. They left on our first very cold day (50 degrees). Our temp is going up to 72 tomorrow. There was nothing in the feeder. They mostly sat on the glass, occasionally on the base where there would be nectar. I didn't want to disturb their routine. They seemed so happy with what they had. I live in San Marcos, TX 78666, 4 miles up the hill from town in the hill area.
