Observation notes: Found motoring across patio headed directly for the back door. No idea where it came from. Two attempts to deposit it in a wildflower patch failed (crawled back on to patio), placed deeper the 3rd time. As I learned later, none of its usual host plants are known to exist there. (Patch is about 10 x10; has primarily ironweed, milkweed [common & swamp], butterfly weed, cardinal flower, grey-headed & purple coneflower.).
