Observation notes: Found on the sidewalk downtown Hot Springs National Park, Arkansas. Caterpillar active but did not seem weak or over active. Young magnolia trees only nearby plant.

Coordinator notes: Caterpillar probably has moved off foodplant (oak, hickory, many others) and is looking for a place to spin cocoon and pupate for the winter, will emerge as a moth in spring. SAT
