Observation notes: Partly cloudy, low 90's. The butterfly was landing intermittently on a gravel road bordered by an untrimmed, weedy edge, a small cemetery, and mixed hardwood forest. Nearby were mixed grasses, wingstem, ironweed, poison ivy, honeysuckle vines, oak, maple, beech, virginia pine.
