Observation notes: Sunny, high 80's, humid, breezy following an early light rain. There was a recently mowed path through a field of mixed grasses and weeds. The caterpillar was moving quite quickly through the downed grass in the middle of the path. Nearby were juniper, sumac, sycamore, locust, maple; mixed grasses, poison ivy, wingstem, ironweed, goldenrod, aster, blackberry brambles.
