Observation notes: Dappled sun, hot and humid, about 85 degrees. The skipper was staying pretty still on the leaves of the plant in the picture. Nearby were oak, maple, sycamore, and many walnut trees, ironweed, tall blue lettuce, goldenrod, smart-weed, jewel-weed, grape vines, poison ivy, wingstem.
