Observation notes: Catahoula NWR Bushley Bayou Unit. Early morning, clear, near calm, around 73 degrees Fahrenheit. Habitat: sandy levee-top path between open weedy area/ shallow water impoundment and brush and sapling-lined ditch/ drainage channel. Two or three of these butterflies seen.

Coordinator notes: This looks more like C. cecrops than C. isobean because of the limited amount of red on top of the two underside hindwing spots.SAT
