Observation notes: First sunny day in weeks along the Mendocino Coast. Saw around seven of these American Ladies. Noted a couple of these with orange "costal" or "last large bar near wingtip". Kaufman and Opler in describing West Coast Ladies states that the other ladies have a white bar. Glassberg is silent on this but shows white. Shapiro does show orange bar for a female and says that West Coast Ladies could have a white or orange bar. Confusing!
