Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: Evening on 8/25/16 watering my flowers outside in my yard. The moth flew from my flowers and landed on my screen door. The moth stayed for several hours. It was awesome to see a moth this large and so close. After researching the species I called and talked to Paul Cypher, CIG|Interpreter Lake Erie Metropark. I saw that they were having a meeting to observe moths. He asked me to send my info and picture, which I did and he replied that indeed it was a Black Witch Moth. He sent me to your website.
