Orange Mint Moth
Pyrausta orphisalis

Observation date: August 24, 2016
Submitted by: MariJanet
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: The first photo is a composite of different angles. I included the shot with the bee for size reference. This was unbelievably tiny compared to a grass skipper. I'm assuming it is a moth because I can't see the lobes at the end of its antennae. Perhaps they are just too small to see and it is a butterfly. The antennae don't appear thick/feathery as I would expect a moth to have.
