Observation notes: Mostly cloudy day, about 80 degrees. This butterfly was flitting along the weedy edge of the dirt-and-gravel road, but seemed to be mostly concentrating on queen anne's lace. Nearby were also black-eyed susan, joe pye weed, chicory, blackberries, lespedeza, cinquefoil, swamp milkweed, mixed grasses; maple, sycamore, oak; honeysuckle and morning glory vines.
