Observation notes: Partly cloudy day, about 80 degrees and warming up. This butterfly was busy enjoying a queen anne's lace, in the weedy edge of the dirt-and-gravel road. In addition to queen anne's lace, there were nearby chicory, blackberries, lespedeza, cinquefoil, swamp milkweed, mixed grasses; maple, sycamore, oak; honeysuckle, grape, and morning glory vines.
