Snowberry Clearwing
Hemaris diffinis

Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: There were 2 moths, maybe male and female. This is the first year I've seen this type of moth by our butterfly bush. The temperature was about 92 degree's with 80% humidity. They were very curious about me, but came back often. One of them has a damaged wing (see photo). They seemed comfortable to be sharing the bush with a Hummingbird. They moved very quickly from flower to flower, maybe because of the heat.
