Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: In mixed forest of Oregon white oak, Douglas fir, and bigleaf maple. Smallish size but hard to say if it's pegala or sthenele. VHW outer third lighter but not strongly so, VFW lower ocellus slightly smaller. Perhaps they intergrade in this area. Lots of individuals in this area.

Coordinator notes: This is a male, Great Basin Wood-Nymphs are not recorded in Hood County Oregon and tend to occur in drier habitats though there are places where both species co-occur. I know of nowhere where they hybridize. In Bridgeport, CA pegala, oetus and sthenele co-occur on the dry edges of wet meadows and dry sagebrush-Ken Davenport
