Weidemeyer's Admiral
Limenitis weidemeyerii

Observation date: July 08, 2016
Submitted by: Gwen_J917
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: The weather when I spotted this butterfly, was relatively clear, but there was a strong wind. This insect flew near the ground. It seem like it was trying to find a place to rest, so it didn't get blown away
Status: Resident

Coordinator notes: Great photo!! You actually captured a photograph of a female weidemeyer's admiral looking to lay an egg on the tip of host willow (Looks like Salix fragilis.) Nicely done!!
