Observation notes: Catahoula NWR Bushley Bayou Unit. Conditions: mix cloud and sun, breeze, warm, mid-morning. Habitat: road dividing dense WRP-type secondgrowth hardwoods from younger, thinner, grassier area of secondgrowth; mature deciduous woods adjacent. Goatweed present along roadside. At least 3 of this butterfly sp. at this spot, as well as multiple Red Admirals and Question Marks, all apparently feeding on scat or other material in the road.
