Observation notes: This mating pair was among approximately 20 or 30 other members of this species observed flying about a 100m strip of grassy/weedy vegetation adjacent to wet, marshy meadow. All butterflies of this species appeared to be mating or engaged in courtship. No members of this species were observed perching nor resting for very long. Several couplings and attempted couplings were observed. The weather was very warm and sunny.
