Observation notes: This butterfly was one of approximately 20 or 30 members of this species observed flying about a 100m strip of grassy/weedy vegetation adjacent to wet, marshy meadow. All butterflies of this species appeared to be mating or engaged in courtship. None were observed perching or resting for very long, and several couplings and attempted couplings were observed.
