Observation notes: This silver-spotted skipper was observed landing and drinking water from a shallow, muddy puddle in a ditch on the edge of a wet, marshy meadow. This puddle seemed to have attracted several other species of butterflies as well. This specimen, however, was the only silver-spotted skipper observed in the entire area that afternoon.
