Observation notes: Early morning observation of large orange tan caterpillar on porch. I have no idea of type of foliage it was on or was seeking when it ventured onto the porch. There is fescue grass in the yard, a couple of Red Buds about 50 feet from the porch, a small juniper type evergreen and hydrangias on the side of the house. It was about the size of an adult index finger and about 3 inches long. It traveled very quickly and shook its head back and forth when encountering an obstacle.Any help with identification is greatly appreciated.
