Observation notes: It was a bright, sunny and warm, having rained a little about an hour earlier. I spotted this moth in a ditch on the edge of a wooded area of a state park across from an open field. It was not feeding but it was flitting about and sunning itself like a butterfly. I did not see another one like it that day.
