Observation date: May 14, 2016

Submitted by: Amy Helen Chu
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: Cool - only spot of sunlight on an overcast day. Heading into thunderstorms that evening. Found in front of a yucca that was half dead (dead parts were on the outer 1/2 of spines.) Soft, cold, reluctant to fly.
Status: Resident
Verified by: mikefisher
Verified date: May 22, 2016
Coordinator notes: This is Meg. streckeri texana rather than M. yuccae coloradensis. This one looks like a male, not female on which the abdomen is even much larger. Thanks for the sighting report. Send some more! Best regards to your Mom too Amy. Mike
