Observation notes: The location suggests Dusky-blue Groundstreak and several locals have agreed with this ID. However, based on lack of orange on eyespot and wider orange band, it appears to be a Red-banded Hairstreak. One person has agreed with this ID that is familiar with the Red-banded. Any insight would be appreciated.

Coordinator notes: Calycopsis cecrops and C. isobean are very closely related and intermediate specimens can be found near where their ranges merge. This is probably the case here. I am basing my id on the more extensive reddish bands and the lack of red capping the hindwing eyespot, as the submitter noted. SAT
