Observation notes: My daughter found the Luna Moth cocoon yesterday and we put it into a butterfly enclosure. It hatched this morning and we will be releasing it this evening (without touching it, using the twig it is currently resting on. We found the cocoon under a walnut tree, it hatched when conditions were cloudy and around 75 degrees Fahrenheit.
