Observation notes: This moth joined several Tiger swallowtail butterflies and bumble bees that had been hungrily feeding on the newly opened blossoms of our azalea bush in the front yard. It fed there for only about 3 minutes before zooming off. So amazed to see one this early in the year, but we
have another very warm spell for March - temps around 77 degrees - and just before a short rain shower began.
