Observation notes: This moth flew down onto a twig in an apple orchard and looked so much like lichen that, even though I had just seen it land, I had to look very closely to convince myself that it was really a moth and not just a falling piece of lichen. And what a beautiful blue patch that doesn't show up well in the books!
