Observation notes: Conditions: mild/warm (70-ish degrees f.?), sunny, breezy. Habitat: gravel road beside coulee/small bayou, thick young deciduous woods, open rice fields. Observed while birding for the recently reported Pyrrhuloxia. Butterfly was seen several times during our time at the spot. Other butterflies observed but not photographed include Gulf Fritillary and Common Buckeye. Observed between 11:40 am and 1:05 pm.
