Observation notes: This female was attracted to the milkweed in my garden but didn't lay any eggs. Maybe its on it's way to over winter.

Coordinator notes: Some Monarchs do overwinter in the College Heights area of Bakersfield, along the Kern River and even in the lower canyons of the Tehachapi's and southern Sierra Nevada. Queens (Danaus gilippus) breed much of the year (April-early November) around Lake Isabella, but do not overwinter there-Ken Davenport
