Observation notes: Caterpillar was found crawling on the ground in my backyard, about a couple feet away from my orange tree. I watched for 10 minutes as it climbed up the brick retaining wall, and then under the fence. It's red antennae never appeared as I never disturbed it.

Coordinator notes: Tehnically, these are Papilio rumiko (recently described), the Western Giant Swallowtail, true Papilio cresphontes is more eastern in occurrence-Ken Davenport
