Observation notes: i returned home to find husband locked in the bedroom bc he says there is a bat in the house. I found the "bat" this beautiful Luna Moth resting on my kitchen counter. He seemed very relaxed; the bug that is.. though I'm sure my dogs got a hold of him; this his missing parts. After I took a few photos, I gently collected him in bowl to take outside to safety, so I thought. By the time I got him in the bowl, jut a few minutes and outside he appeared to be having a seizure in the bowl? He was violently shaking?? I got him out onto the house by the light, as he couldn't hold on, he flew frantically trying to gain control (I suppose bc his wings or tail were broken) but he could not fly or stick to the house and he would land on the porch. My two cats and two freakin dogs were trying to eat him, I desperately tried to save him for about a half hour. I couldn't, so I went inside devastated.
