Observation notes: I found the moth holding onto some grass on the north side of my house. It seemed lethargic and could not seem to fly, so I suspected that it may have been dying. The spot where it was sitting was very wet (it had been raining all day) and was exposed to a strong wind. I put my finger under its front legs and it crawled onto my hand. I held it for awhile, then gently deposited it on the other side of the house where it was drier and in a position that was sheltered from the wind.
