Observation notes: The caterpillar was about 3 inches in length. I seen it around 5:00pm (Central Time) and again at about 10:00 pm. It was crawling on my deck. It was big, green and had flat ridges on its back...like an accordion. It was sunny out the first time I seen it and it was moving at a normal speed I guess...when we seen it at night, it was more sluggish. I have tiger lillies next to my deck, but other then that it is mostly grass.
