Observation notes: There was no host plant for this particular caterpillar, it was found in the center of a brick patio. It was 'on the move' and quite lively. However we did find a second caterpillar on a sweet potato vine in a flower planter on the same patio, it has begun to pull leaves around itself. Both caterpillars were approximately 3.25 to 3.5 inches in length. Location: Eagle, Idaho, Ada County.
