Observation notes: Observed while birding, photo taken along ramp to observation tower at East Jetty Beach. This species was very common in and around the East Jetty Park and Beach, but practically EVERYWHERE in the parts of Cameron Parish (mostly south/coastal parts) that we birded/traveled through that day (very abundant!). Potentially, similar white-colored species among those seen while driving/otherwise poorly seen. Habitat: grassy/wildflower landward side of beach and adjacent weedy/brushy area and open waterside parking lot area, adjacent marsh. Conditions: warm, mostly sunny, not much wind. Approx. time: early afternoon (2:20-ish pm).
