Observation notes: Observed while birding Peveto Woods Sanctuary in Cameron Parish. Habitat: Live Oak wooded chenier just back from the beach with some dense thicket/undergrowth, adjacent pasture and marsh. Conditions: warm, mostly sunny, not much wind. Approx. time: mid-morning. This butterfly was seen in the company of a lot of Gulf Fritillaries and a few Phaon Crescents in small clearing between woods/thicket and marshy pond. Passiflora incarnata were among the flowers present / dominant plant in small clearing.
